Decent value, minor hiccup

I signed up for a WHM Reseller Account. The setup process was mostly smooth, and the pricing for recurring billing was pretty good. I appreciated the free website migration service; that saved me a lot of time. My only minor issue was that it took a little longer than expected for customer support to respond to a billing question I had, about 4 hours. Once they did, the issue was resolved quickly, and the service has been stable since. Good value overall, just a slight delay in support.

Great deal for SSD hosting

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for the cheapest SSD Shared Hosting I could find without sacrificing too much. Host Little offered a pretty solid recurring discount on their annual plan. The cost per month ended up being really competitive compared to others I checked. I signed up for a full year upfront to maximize the savings. So far, the site speed has been good, and it feels like I got a good deal for the money. Worth the investment for sure.

Love my new VPS!

Got a Budget VPS last week and I'm really happy! The performance is excellent for the price, and I had my server up and running within minutes. The control panel is easy to use, and everything just worked right out of the box. I was able to get my applications deployed without any trouble. Definitely planning to get more services from them in the future. Highly recommend Host Little to anyone needing reliable hosting!

Smooth migration, good support

I purchased the cPanel Shared Hosting plan and also utilized their Website Migration service. The ordering process online was straightforward, and I received my login details promptly. The migration team handled everything seamlessly; I just provided the details, and they moved my existing site over with minimal downtime. I did have a small question about setting up an SSL Certificate afterwards, so I contacted their support. They replied within an hour and walked me through the steps. The server performance has been consistent, and I haven't experienced any issues. It's refreshing to have hosting that just works, especially with decent customer service when you need it.

Renewal price for my SSD Shared Hosting was higher than I expected this month. I've been with Host Little for about two years now. Are there any Host Little coupons for existing customers, or recurring discounts I might be missing?

R Rahul87 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Yeah, usually the first year is promotional and then it jumps up. It's a common practice. For existing customers, you sometimes have to reach out to support directly and ask for a 'renewal discount'. Doesn't always work, but worth a shot.

A AmitG 3 weeks ago
Hmm, I figured it was something like that. I'll try contacting support then.

S Sneha 3 weeks ago
Good luck! Sometimes they offer a small percentage off if you commit to annual billing again.

T techfreak 3 weeks ago
Sometimes they have Black Friday sales that can apply to renewals if you time it right, but that's a long wait. Not sure about specific existing customer coupons though.

Black Friday is too far off for me right now. Thanks though!

R Rahul87 3 weeks ago
True, but good to keep in mind for next time maybe.

I faced the same thing last year. I looked for a recurring discount but couldn't find any public ones. Ended up just paying the increased rate, which was still competitive for what I get.

Yeah, it's still decent, just the surprise hit different.

Finally switched my small business site over to Host Little's cPanel Shared Hosting yesterday. Setup was pretty straightforward, but I'm curious if anyone else found the 'free website migration' a bit slow?

S Sneha 3 weeks ago
Following this. I'm planning to switch my domain over next month and was hoping to use their free migration.

Mine was okay, not super fast but not terrible. Just communicate clearly with their support team.

P PriyaS 2 weeks ago
Yeah, communication is key. They were responsive when I asked for updates.

D Deepak91 2 weeks ago
I did the migration myself because I heard some mixed reviews about the speed of their free service. Took me about an hour for a medium-sized site.
4
P PriyaS 2 weeks ago
Good to know. Maybe I should've just done it myself then.
5
N NikhilS 2 weeks ago
True. It's a 'free' service, so expectations should be managed.
3
C coolboy88 2 weeks ago
I think it depends on their current queue too. Sometimes it's fast, sometimes not.
5
R RahulK 2 weeks ago
Mine was actually super quick, but it was just a small WordPress site. Did you have a lot of databases or files?
7
P PriyaS 2 weeks ago
Yeah, it's a small e-commerce site, so a fair bit of product data and images. Maybe that's why.
3
A AmitM 2 weeks ago
That definitely makes a difference. My friend had a similar issue with a larger site.

How are Host Little's speeds compared to, say, Namecheap? My current site is slow and I'm looking for something faster, especially since they're in Chicago.

W Wendy Z. 1 month ago
I switched from Namecheap to Host Little a few months ago and noticed a definite improvement. My audience is mostly Midwest so the Chicago servers really help with latency.
1
C Cleo E. 1 month ago
It's hard to say without specifics, but I've had good luck with their SSD hosting being pretty snappy. Namecheap can be hit or miss depending on the server you land on.

Does Host Little take PayPal or is it just credit cards? Trying to avoid putting my card info everywhere.

K Kate 2 months ago
They definitely take PayPal. I've paid for my reseller account with it for over a year now.

E Elena Bennett 2 months ago
Yeah, they have a few options. I think I used a credit card but I remember seeing PayPal there too.

Just saw a promo for Host Little shared hosting, like 40% off. Is that a one-time thing or does it apply to renewals too?

E Elena 2 months ago
Usually those big percentage off deals are just for the first invoice. Check the fine print, but most hosting promos don't carry over forever.
1
D Dana Okafor 2 months ago
I got a recurring discount with them once, but it was like 15% off, not 40. The really steep ones are almost always just for new sign-ups.

Just noticed my Host Little renewal price for my Reseller Hosting account. Seems a bit higher than what I paid last year. Anyone else seeing this? Is there a renewal discount I missed?

V Vikram 5 days ago ✓ Best Answer
I usually contact support a few weeks before renewal and ask if there are any existing customer coupons. Sometimes they can apply one.
6
A Arjun 5 days ago
Oh, good tip! I'll try that. Didn't think they'd have coupons for existing users.

Worth a shot for sure.

Worked for me last year with my VPS. Got a small percentage off.
5
M Meena 5 days ago
Yeah, I think their initial promos are often for the first term only. You might have to check if you had a recurring discount applied originally.
9
T techfreak 5 days ago
Same. Most hosting companies do this. The 'lifetime discount' is rare.
6
A Arjun 5 days ago
That makes sense. I definitely got a good deal when I first signed up.
3
S Sarita 5 days ago
Are you on an annual plan? Sometimes the monthly renewals are higher compared to paying for a full year upfront.
8
A Arjun 5 days ago
I'm on annual, so that's not it. It's just the yearly rate itself seems to have gone up a bit.
6
R Rahul87 5 days ago
Hmm, could be general price increases then. Everything is getting more expensive.

Finally switched from another provider yesterday to Host Little. Got the cPanel Shared Hosting. Setup was pretty smooth but I'm curious about the 'free website migration' they offer. Has anyone used it? How was the experience?

P Priya 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Hey Rohan, welcome! I used their free migration service last year when I moved my small e-commerce site over. It was surprisingly painless. Just filled out a form with my old host's cPanel details and they handled everything within 24 hours. Didn't have to touch anything myself.
19
V VikramS 1 month ago
Yeah, minimal downtime for me too. They usually schedule it off-peak.
4
R RohanK 1 month ago
Oh, that sounds good! I was a bit worried about downtime.

A Anjali 1 month ago
I tried to use it but had a slightly different experience. My old host was a bit obscure and they needed some extra details. Took a couple of days back and forth with support but they got it done eventually. Still free though!
11
R RohanK 1 month ago
Good to know it worked out even with an obscure host. Mine is pretty standard thankfully.

Which old host was that, Anjali? Just curious.

Following. Thinking of moving my blog over soon and the migration part is what's holding me back.

Go for it, Sarita. It's less hassle than doing it manually.

Hey, thinking of switching to Host Little for my small biz site. Anyone know if they actually help you move your old site over or is that a DIY thing?

J Jared Osei 1 month ago
Yeah, they do free migrations. I used it when I moved my blog over from Bluehost last year, pretty smooth process.

F Faith Carter 1 month ago
I think they do, it's one of their listed features. Probably best to confirm with them directly if you have a super complex setup though.
